Essentials by Ellen Mix it Up Challenge
I am excited to be participating in my first challenge, the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge. I recently purchased my first, (of I'm sure many!) Essentials by Ellen products, the Bold Blooms dies. These dies are beautiful, I love floral stamps and dies! The dies come on their own magnetic sheet, it is a nice touch for keeping the pieces nicely arranged on the sheet.
The theme of this challenge is to combine Essentials by Ellen products with Hero Arts products. Here are most of the supplies I used.
I stamped the Hero Arts Spice Market background cling stamp with grey pigment ink on white card stock. Over the background stamp, I layered grey cardstock. Then I used Distress Inks on watercolor paper to create a variegated watercolor effect on the background of the leaves and flowers. I sprayed the Distress Ink with perfect pearl powder mixed in water to get a subtle shimmer. I die cut the top layer of the flowers in silver vellum using the Essentials by Ellen Bold Blooms dies. Finally, I used a Hero Arts sentiment.
This challenge was a lot of fun, I look forward to participating in additional challenges!
